Despite the damp start and rainy morning 42 archers (31 adults, 11 juniors) took part in our annual Field Shoot held in White Mark Bowmen's woods near Beaconsfield. A tricky 2x 14 animal target round had been set by Mike Winn and Alan Crowe. The intrepid archers, in groups of three or four, set of en masse to meet the challenge. Using banded arrows, each archer had three chances to get a scoring shot. Throughout the day, groans, cheers and laughter were heard around the course. A staggered lunch break was taken as the archers reached the targets close to the club hut. Then suitably recharged off they went to finish the course. During the afternoon the rain stopped and late on the sun came out. Lots of positive comments and the smiling faces of the participants showed that everyone had enjoyed themselves.
