Good Evening Bucks AA County Champ Entries and Judges,
Ahead of the tournament on 7th September, here are some event details for you:
1 - Target List
Attached in PDF. Please check the details are correct and let me know of any amendments by return and no later than 2nd September 2025.
2 - Event Timings
Timings are as follows:
0700 Advance party & field party arrive (approx TBC)
0830 Registration opens
0900 Equipment inspection
0945 Assembly brief
1000 Sighters (one end of 6 arrows) followed by scoring arrows
Please aim to arrive no earlier than 0800 so that the advance party/field team has sufficient time to prepare. We want to greet you with a smile and help you in the morning, so your assistance with arrival times would be greatly appreciated.
3 - Control of Shooting
Shooting will be controlled by the Chronotir2C timing system, so Method 2 (rule 204(f)ii) will be used for timings. Arrows will be shot in ends of 6, with four minutes per detail. A brief will be provided in the morning, but if you’re not sure of how this works, please ask.
4 - Scoring
Suitable score sheets will be prepared for use during the tournament. These are to be passed around the archers on a target so that no individual is scoring their own arrows. If there is only one archer on a target, please score for each other. If you have any questions, I will be on hand during the day to help you. Please bring a pen with you!
I will also be attempting to use an electronic scoring system (TamlynScore) on the day to help with the collation of results and scores. While the mobile signal isn’t fantastic on the field, there should be enough to run this system. Therefore, per boss, one archer will need a mobile and be willing/able to enter scores. The primary scoring method will be the paper score sheets, so this is secondary, but it should help with checking the adding up at the end of the day...
5 - Refreshments and Catering
There are no on-site catering facilities available at the venue. Silver Arrow Archery Club have very kindly agreed to provide tea/coffee and cakes throughout the day (for a small charge). Please ensure that you bring sufficient and appropriate food and drink for the duration and anticipated weather. Toilet facilities are available a short walk from the shooting line.
6 - Event Location
For those of you who have not been before, the venue address is Sparrow Hill Farm, Edlesborough, LU6 2ES. There is an entrance barrier (What3Words link - https://w3w.co/baseballs.grin.radio) where someone will greet you on arrival and direct you to the parking. If you’ve not been before, it does look like you’re driving into an industrial estate; don’t worry, you are! The picture below is of the main entrance from the road. Follow this track to the barrier, and someone will greet you. Main parking is indicated on the map below, but you may be directed to alternative parking should this become full. Please note that parking on the site is at the owner's own risk; it is a working farm/industrial estate. Parking is limited, so shared transport, where possible, would be appreciated. With over 70 archers attending, while there is sufficient space for everyone to park, this is on the basis of considerate parking, in accordance with the instructions given to you on the day. Please adhere to the instructions given to you so that there is space for everyone.

7 - Queries
If there are any queries, omissions or changes required, please let me know as soon as possible.
I look forward to seeing you all on the day.
Kind Regards,
Neill
