The Southern Counties Archery Meeting – “The Southern” – is the Championship Meeting for the Southern Counties Archery Society (SCAS). The meeting has been held almost continuously since 1892, when the Championship of the South was initiated. Today, this meeting incorporates a two-day Championship meeting, a traditional Longbow day, and a Handicap event, in which archers compete with scores adjusted for their current “handicap” (a measure of achieved performance).
All BAA members are members of SCAS so eligible to compete in this event for awards. There are also team opportunities- I am finding out more about this.
