Our annual match against Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire was a little unusual this year, as it became a postal shoot with each county assembling in their own area to shoot a Short Metric round.
It turned out to be a glorious afternoon weather-wise and we fielded teams in recurve, compound, longbow, barebow and juniors.
After the shoot, team sizes were adjusted down to the lowest number of archers in any discipline, which in the case of longbows became one archer.
Overall Bedfordshire came first with a total score of 8308, followed by Northamptonshire on 7384 and Buckinghamshire on 7134. We came second in recurve, compound and barebow and third in longbow and juniors. Junior scores were not adjusted for age groups or bow styles.
The team comprised archers from Silver Arrow, Whiteleaf, Shenley, Little Abbey and South Bucks and were as follows:
